BERYL FUND RATING We seek managers with integrity, intelligence, energy and passion.  They must demonstrate to us that they possess replicable and sustainable alpha-generating potential.  They should eloquently describe their strategy, articulate the underlying portfolio thesis and their risk management.

We focus on two main alpha-generating sources:

(1) What are the inefficiencies that a manager is exploiting? 

(2) What edge does this manager possess to capture those inefficiencies and create alpha?

When you look at these two areas of focus in combination with our quantitative and qualitative analysis and add our structural due diligence, it is a very powerful mix that helps us to identify unique talent.
